Further south from the capital, is the state of Malacca, another foodie haven; which brings you cuisine influenced by the European culture.
Peranakans, the descendants of Portuguese and Baba-Nyonyas or Straits-born Chinese had brought in their traditions of cooking 400 years ago, as they colonized or migrated to Malacca.
Peranakan cuisine, with its unique blend of spice paste, pounded herbs, lemon grass and shallots, which makes the traditional food rich in flavours.
As the peninsular of Malaysia is surrounded by water, abundant marine life and variety of fishery would attract any guests to indulge in a banquet of fancy seafood, cooked in any way you requested for.
